my pregnancy thus far...

Well morning sickness is gone, i have some energy back, and I was feeling great for a few weeks. This past week, I have been hit with HORRIBLE headaches that I cannot get rid of. I try to take medicine and it doesnt help, I try t take a nap but I still wake up with in pain, and I even try sitting in the dark but it will not go away. I went to the Dr. last week and was fine and my blood pressure was low like it noramally is. Everyone has been telling me it could be my blood pressure but I doubt it. Regaurdless, I am going to call my OB tomorrow and see if I can come in. My house has begun to show the side effects of my headache by how messy it is. I feel like a slug because all I want to do is go in my dark room and go to sleep for a little while. Im praying that this wont last long...
On a higher note, my grades are great! A's in all of my classes and I am half way through my semester. I can't wait to have the accomplishment of my degree under my belt. It will just be such a relief to finally hacve it complete.
We find out what the baby is in 2 weeks!!!! I can't believe how much faster this pregnancy is going than my last one. I seriously felt like I was pregnant with Camden for a year! I can't wait to find out what we are having....I have a feeling of what I think it is but I dont want to feel stupid and be wrong lol. I have FINALLY figured out what I am going to do with the new nursery. For the longest time I could only figure out what I wanted to do for a girls room. Now I found a boys room idea that I am really excited about as well. I can't wait to tackle that nursery. That is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant. I am getting so anxious, its all I can think about. I just want to know what I am having!!!!!!

Come on fall!!!

Let me just say, I DO NOT like being pregnant in the summer. I feel like I have been cooped up in our house for too long because Its just too hot to go outside and enjoy the sun unless we are headed to the pool. Cam and I go to the park every once in a while just to get out but its just soo hot and humid here. Today, its been raining all day and the temp outside is 68! Maybe if it stops raining and is just cloudy I will open up the windows! Anyways, I am so ready for my beloved fall to get here! There is so much to look forward to!
September 12, Chris' parents are coming in to town and we are going to my FIRST NFL football game! ( Green bay vs. Eagles) in Philly. I just ordered our cute packers shirts for the three of us 2 days ago.
October 20th marks my pregnancy at 20 weeks exactly. We haven't set the exact date to get out sonogram to find out the sex of the baby but it will be the week of the 20th. Plus my mama will be here for it and I am so excited. I have made myself open minded about it all. With Camden, I knew in my heart that he was a boy and I had no doubt at all that when we went to go find out his sex that he was all boy! I was right! With this baby, I will admit that I am hoping for a girl because this is our last baby and I would like one of each. This pregnancy has been SO different from my last one which makes me think its a girl, but hey that could just be wishful thinking! Either way, I will be so thrilled with whatever we are having. If its a boy, the plus side would be that we already have everything that a boy needs! We are just praying for a healthy pregnancy and big healthy baby. We are on a good track so far!
Some other festivities about fall that I am so ready for are
Fifer Orchards- pickin' fresh apples and going to the pumpkin patch and riding the hayride!
Halloween! I am way excited about this years costume for Camden. Camden and Chris are dressin up together and its going to be so cute. I'm not going to give it away because it was completely Chris' idea. Hey, anything to get Chris to dress up for Halloween right? haha. The only hint I will give is that they are dressing up as a duo. It will be so cute!
Fall Colors. That is something that I definitely favor Delaware over Texas. I love Texas but there are not enough trees. Up here, trees are everywhere! Last year was our first year here and I was truly amazed by the changing leaves. Its really beautiful up here during the fall time of year.
Fall decorations and yummy candles. I go all out for Halloween and then for fall. Its just fun for me. Although, some of my Halloween decorations are scary pirates and skulls lol. I hope that it doesn't scare Cam. I also cant wait to get out my pumpkin spice and apple cinnamon candles. Yum!!
Cooking and baking. I cook throughout the year of course but there are some things that I make that I think are only good when its cold outside! Jalapeno cornbread and chili, all kinds of soups, and then of course all the yummy things you can bake! Mainly desserts! I cant wait.
Sweaters, hoodies, and scarves! I always look forward to getting out my sweaters and scarves every year. I love getting warm when its cool outside :)
And who could forget Thanksgiving! last year was our first one away from family and it was surprisingly wonderful. We got to spend it with our military family instead. This is going to be the case again this year. Its a lot of fun. Me and all of my girlfriends get together and cook all day for dinner with our husbands.
Well, I have talked enough about the excitement of fall, how about a little update on my boy?
Camden is growing so quickly and its so fun watching him learn.
He says dada, mama, dada, bye bye, dada, night night, dada, hi, dada, yum, dada,uh oh, dada, dada, go go, dada haha.
He waves bye bye, brings me a diaper when he needs to be changed, turns on and off the tv with the remote haha, gives you a kiss when you ask for one, eats by himself, and walks everywhere! He loves to go up the stairs but only when mommy and daddy are behind him :) He has become quite the independent little man. I am one proud mama. I feel so blessed that I get to do it all over again!

Pregnancy blahs

Well morning sickness has hit me like a train! I have pretty much had morning sickness nonstop for the past week and its not fun. It is an interesting feeling though. I did not have any morning sickness whatsoever with Camden my whole pregnancy. I know that every pregnancy is different whether the sex is the same or not but nothing about this pregnancy seems familiar to me. Maybe its a little girl??? To be honest I am hoping for a girl since this is my last baby but a little boy would be such a blessing as well. Camden would have a very close playmate and they will only be one grade apart in school. Either way, I am just hoping for a healthy baby. Anyways, all I want to do is sleep and drink sweet tea. Most food makes my stomach hurt but I am trying to eat a few very small meals a day just to give me a little energy.
My poor house looked like a tornado hit it until today :(. It kind of makes me feel like a bad wife and mother when my house gets messy because i feel like I am not taking care of my family. I know I'm pregnant and I guess its okay that I don't feel good but I just love taking care of my family with the cooking and the cleaning. I haven't really been able to do either for the past 2 weeks or so. I have either been too tired or sick to my stomach to do anything.
I am so thankful for a sweet understanding husband. He has been so great. He has done the laundry, dishes, and cooking. He is such an amazing provider for our family. I am so thankful for our home and everything that we have built as a family. I guess all I can really say is that I am blessed.
As much as I don't feel good, I know this time will pass and I am just thankful to be pregnant. God is so good.
My next Dr's appointment is August 10Th and I am really looking forward to it because we will get to hear the heart again! I will keep everyone updated on everything!!

Sonogram picture :)

This blog entry is going to be short but here we go! We went to get our first sonogram today of Smith baby number 2! The reason that we got to get a sonogram so early in my pregnancy is because we werent sure exactly how far along I am. As of today, I am 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant! My guess of 6 weeks was close. That makes my due date March 10, 2011. The baby's heart beat was nice and strong. It was so funny to see a little flicker (the heartbeat) on such a lttle peanut! lol.

We could not be any more thrilled and we are looking forward to what is to come!

Im Pregnant!

Well, Chris and I are expecting Smith baby number 2! we are so incredibly thrilled and feel so blessed that we are pregnant! We decided that we were for sure ready to start about a month ago. I am so happy of how easily it happend! Didnt take very long at all! If I am correct with my dates, I should be due sometime at the end of March. This feels perfect to me because the majority of my pregnancy will be in the cold!
I was at the grocery store yesterday and walked past the pregnancy tests and thought I should pick some up just in case cinsidering I was off the pill. I have not been expiriencing any pregnancy symptoms yet other than I am a little bit more tired than usual. I just thought it was because I have been working out more lately and chasing after Camden. Anyways, when I got home from the store, I decided that I would just go ahead and take he test while Chris was at work so that I could just get it out of the way because I was pretty sure that I was not pregnant. about ten seconds after I took the test, the second line showed up VERY bright pink! I couldnt believe it! I am actually pregnant already! What a blessing. Chris was supposed to be home in an hour so I decided to take another test just to be sure. I took the second test about 30 minutes later and it was positive as well!
When Chris got home I asked him if he wanted one of his birthday gifts from me and of course he got excited and said yes! ( of course he had no idea because I hadnt previously told him that I thought that I could be ) I told him to close his eyes and hold out his hands. I put the pregnancy test in his hands and told him to open his eyes. He freaked out! We both started crying. We are SO EXCITED!
Today is my sweet Chris' 23rd birthday. I can't believe that I started dating him when he was 17! Its truely amazing how time can fly by! Happy Birthday my love!

My baby is 1!!!

My baby is a year old! I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. I know I am a few days late on posting this but we have been super busy traveling. We just got back from a wonderful three week vacation to Texas visiting our family. It was so good to see everyone. It is hard sometimes being so far away but I am so thankful for facebook and blogger so that I can keep everyone updated on us!

We flew in to Dallas to see my dad's side of the family. We only stayed for one day but we got to see a lot of my family. I got to see my great grandmother and Cam's great great grandmother. It was so good to see her. We got to help celebrate her 86th birthday while we were there!

After a little stay in Dallas, we drove to Lubbock. We had a really relaxing vacation kind of just doing whatever we wanted to and hanging out with friends and family. It was so nice. :)

On May 28th, my sweet baby turned 1 year old. The next day on May 29th, we woke up and went to get Cam's first haircut! It defenitely took some talking dad into it because daddy wasnt ready but it was definitely time! Of course he looks precious with long or short hair!

Later that day we had Camden's 1st Birthday party! It was sports themed and so fun! Camden had his own little finger cake which of course he made a complete mess of but he really liked it. We were really blessed with a lot of gifts from our family and friends. It was such a fun day!

Well now we are back home in Dover and getting back to our schedule. Camden slept 14 hours the first night that we were home! He was one tired boy.

This past year has been such a blessing. Camden and complelely changed Chris and mine's life for the better and we are just so happy and blessed. From the first smile, to him learning to say dada and mama, to crawling, and now to him almost walking......its been an amazing year. I am so complelely in love with my boys.

Excitement!

Wow this has been a very busy month in the Smith household. I'm not complaining though because its really been a great one.

I just completed my semester and get a nice long 5 week break. I made an A and a B in my classes which I'm so proud of. The class that I made a B in what my English class that just about killed me. I have never had a problem with English classes before but this one really did a number on me. We had soooo many long papers due every week and being a full time mom to a very energetic little boy that gets into everything made things a little more difficult. But I can proudly say that I am finished with all of my English classes forever! I wouldn't normally be excited about a B but in this case I'm exstatic! I love online classes. I was so worried that after I had Camden that I would'nt go back and I would be the only one on my family without a bachelors degree. Online classes have been such a blessing because its self-paced and I can do it on my own time instead of having to go to a set class every day and leaving my sweet boy at a day care. That would kill me having to drop him off somewhere. I don't want someone expiriencing all of his firsts before I do.

Camden is getting so big. He is wearing size 18-24 month clothing, size 4 diapers, and size 4 shoes! Hes so fun and I am loving every minute of being a stay at home mommy. We play all day! He is in to everything! Its hilarious to go into the kitchen for 2 seconds to get a soda and come back to see Camden pulling out all of our dvds and blu-rays and putting them all over the living room. Hes a mess, but i love watching him. He is walking but only if he holds on to the sides of the couches or mommy and daddy's hands. Hes the light of my life and a total joy!

Yesterday I had my first mother's day. Last year I barely missed it by a few weeks and I was kind of sad. I know that I was technically a mommy last year because I was pregnant but it didn't feel like the same thing. Yesterday though was so special to me. I woke up and Chris made some very delicious breakfast burritos and coffee and then we went to church. The service was amazing of course and then we came back to our house and had a cook out with the Womacks and the Welters. It was fun and the food was so good! Later that day Chris gave me my mothers day gifts. He gave me some beautiful yellow roses and some perfume from him and Cammy. I loved it and will forever cherish the memories that we make as a family on special days like yesterday.

We are headed to Lubbock on saturday and we are so excited! We will be there for 3 weeks so it will be a nice long vacation. Chris has been working so hard lately and is really looking forward to a little break. He is such an amazing provider for our family and I am so blessed to have him as my husband. I try to thank him often for everything that he does so that I am able to stay home with our babies. Hes just so wonderful. We can't wait to see our family and friends back home.

Camden turns one next month! I can't believe how the time has flown by. It feels like only yesterday and I was waiting and waiting on him to get here. Now hes here and it feels like time is just speeding past me. I wish I could slow it all down, but i know this is how it goes. I try to take as many pictures as possible so that I can remember each and every little bit of his life. It has been fun though getting ready for his party. Its going to be great and I cant wait to see him dig into his little finger cake!
