Halloween is almost here!

I love halloween haha. I can't wait to see Camden in his little froggy outfit...hes just going to be too cute. We are getting family pictures taken this week and we are going to also get some pics of Cam in his costume. My mom will be here on Friday and I am soooo excited to see her. I think on Halloween we are going to Fifer Orchards and pick some apples and more pumpkins and gords.....and we are going to take Camden on his very first HAY RIDE! im sure he will love it. This time of year is so fun. There seems like there is just so much more to do. Well i am all stocked up on my candy and ready for all of those tricker treaters to come our way! I bought about 20 dollars worth of candy haha. When i was a kid, I always hated those people that just gave you one piece of candy, come on its HALLOWEEN!.....well needless to say i give out handfulls haha.
I am feeling alot better. My nose is still a little stuffy but thats a whole lot better than how i was feeling earlier this week. Camden's cough is completely gone thank goodness.
Well, this is a short entry but i just wanted to update. I have a pot roast in my slow cooker and its almost ready so i need to go feed my family.
Much love and God bless,

Wellness

For the first time since Camden has been born i am sick. I am one of those people that HATES more than anything to be sick. I do alot during the day and when i am run down the only thing that makes me well again is to get in bed and stay there. So for the past few days i have done so. Its very hard with a little baby and a household to run to do this but with the help of my amazing husband, I have been able to do so. I must say, i have an exeptional husband. He has really just taken all of the stress off of me and allowed me to start to feel better. He has done all of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and baby needs. Camden started to get a little sniffle so we didnt waste any time in taking him in to his pediatrition. He just gave us some salene nazle spray and Camden is completely cleared up. I have had fever, cough, chills, runny nose, sneezing until i feel like my nose will fall off my face, and cold sweat. Its been terrible but Chris has really been awesome. Last night my throat was so sore so without even telling me he went and got me my favorite ice cream. Hes so sweet. I am such a lucky girl.
Today we had to take Camden in to get his 4 month shots. He was supposed to get them 2 weeks ago but they have had a mandatory flu shot demand on the base and all of the military guys had to go get it. So, needless to say, the base hospital immunization has been jam packed. He had to get three shots and he was so upset. I hated seeing him cry, but im just taking care of my baby. Thankfully he wont have to get anymore for 2 more months. I got the flu shot today and can i just say, OUCH. my arm is still sore. Im sure i will live though.
Although i dont have much a voice and probably wont sound that good tonight, Chris and I are going to praise team practice. I love singing. I miss being in Choir, but this is a good substitute.
Anyways, off the practice!
Much love and God bless,

pumpkins pumpkins pumpkins!

This week has been so much fun. We have done so much as a family and its been so wonderful. We went pumpkin pickin' and had a total blast carving it. We decided to make a happy pumpkin this year and go with a different design instead of the normal scary design haha. (for Camden of course) And i have been cooking and baking so much. I made green chili chicken enchiladas from scratch, chicken tortillini, chocolate chip cookies, and pumpkin seeds. Tomorrow im going to make chili and corn bread. (one of hubby's favs) later this week i think im going to take a stab at ginger bread mmmmm. Cant wait. I love trying to cook new things. So my house is full of pirate hallween stuff. Its fun but the dogs keep messing with all of the decor haha. I love halloween. I cant wait for Camden to wear his little costume. Im going to be a witch! I dont know if daddy is going to dress up or not hes not as in to it haha. My mom will be here in 2 weeks and i can't wait! We are going to have so much fun shopping and cooking and talking ahhh im so excited. So Camden just got a new jumperoo. Right when we put him in there he started jumping around it was too cute. He loves it. His smile melts my heart. Being his mommy is the most fulfilling expirience i have ever had in my life. It is just so unbelievable i can barely put it into words. I just adore him. We are giong to be getting our pictures taken in the next two weeks and i cant wait. I try to capture Camden's growth through as many pictures as i can. He is just growing so fast. I love it because his personality is really starting so show. Its so fun. Hes just such a happy little boy. We are so incredibly blessed.

Much love and God bless.

Pure Joy

This may sound silly, but one of my favorite things in the world is when my house is clean, the dishes are done, laundry is clean and put away, and the bills are paid. We have been a tight these past few months with getting used to having a baby and the expenses of them and we are finally in a very comfortable place. Its a good feeling. I have just felt so blessed lately. I know that our country is in a recession right now and its really taken effect on alot of families and i just feel so blessed and thankful that we are still comfortable. My heart goes out to those families effected by this.
Anyways, i am so excited about this fall and winter coming up. My mom is coming up for Halloween and i cant wait to see her! I have my house all decorated. i love Halloween decorations. They are just so fun. Cammy is going to be a frog and i cant wait to get him dressed up. Next, my dad is hopefully coming for Thanksgiving. This year will be my first time to make a Thanksgiving meal on my own. Prayers would be appreciated that i dont burn anything haha. I am determined to make everything. ( Turkey, stuffing, giblet gravy, yams, garlic potatoes, fruit salad, green salad, rolls, greenbean caserole, and cranbery sauce.....and of course we cant forget the pumpkin pie!) Anyways, sometime in the beginning of December Jack is coming. I miss him like crazy and i cant wait to see him. Then chris' parents are coming for Christmas. Kelsi is coming up sometime in between there we just havnt decided yet! My mom is also coming agian in January. Sometimes its hard being away while Camden is so little because i feel like our family is missing out on him but i am so happy that they are going to get to come see us soon. Well thats all for now.
much love and God bless

baby its cold outside!

Today has been so wonderful! Chris got the day off for Columbus day and today was "Sarah day!". For my birthday this last April, one of the sweet gifts that Chris gave me was a coupon book full of stuff! Some of the coupons were like that he would do the dishes or vacuum or take care of Camden all day. One of the coupons is Sarah Day which means that i get to relax all day and chris does all the cooking, cleaning, and taking care of baby's needs. It has been soo relaxing and wonferful. I just have to say that i have an amazing husband. Its in the 40's today and its so beautiful outside. I can't wait until thursday because we are going to go to the pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins! I have all of my Halloween decorations out so we need to carve some jack-o-lanterns! So excited. Anyways, i need to go eat the dinner my amazing husband made for me! I could get used to days like this! Too bad i only have one "Sarah Day" coupon haha.
much love and God bless,

First trip to the ER with Camden :(

Last night we took Camden to the ER for the first time. There was no "emergency" by any means but the base hospital had already closed for the day and wouldnt be open again until monday so we decided to just go ahead and take him. I noticed on thursday that the right corner of his right eye was starting to get a little pink. Chris thought that he may have just poked himself in the eye so we waited to see if the redness went away. Friday morning we woke up and it didnt look worse but it didnt look any better. Still be decided to wait. Finally at about 5 o'clock yesterday evening i noticed a little infection in the eye so we decided to go ahead and take him. We went to the hospital and Camden did not like the Doctor. When he put him on the scale to weigh him he cried alot. it was sad. But wow, i have a big healthy boy! Camden weighs 17 pounds! They took us back to the examining room and the Pediatrition came in and took one quick look at Cammy and said " yes we have a mild case of conjunctivitus (pink eye). They gave us some eye ointment and we put it on every 4 hours. When we woke up this morning the redness was totally gone! We are still supposed to repeat for 7 days. Anyways so glad its saturday and the 3 of us and all stay home together all day and relax. have a blessed day!

Much love and God bless,

prayers for baby addison.....

Hello all,
I was informed of some very sad news today. My good friend Ashton went in today to get a sonogram of her baby and they examined the brain. The doctors told Ashton and Jarrod that their baby is missing a vital vein in her brain that controls the sight. This means that the baby could possibly be blind, have seizures, or possibly have some mental retardation. Please pray for this sweet little family and what they are going through. Ashton is so strong. If this baby does end up having some problems, God could not have put her with a better family. Ashton will be so caring and loving to this baby and she will be so well taken care of. God has a plan. Please pray for this sweet family.
Thats all for now. much love and God bless

a little update on our situation.

Let me just start off by saying that i am so thankful that my husband is healthy. About a year ago Chris was diagnosed with a heart condition called SVT. It is nothing that is life threatening but it is something that needs to not be ignored. He ended up having to have heart surgery. After that was a long waiting game with the medical board. Chris and i had to live apart for 7 months waiting to find out if we would be staying in the AF or being medically discharged because he was stuck at tech school. Once we got the OK we moved to Delaware and since then we have welcomed out beautiful little angel Camden into our little family. He is such a joy and a blessing and i cant imagine life without him. We have lived here to 8 months now and we love it here. We do love and miss Texas but this expirience has been so wonderful for Chris and I. We have gotten to go off 1800 miles away from all friends and family and completely learn to rely on eachother. We have learned so much about ourselves and eachother as husband and wife and i wouldnt trade this time for the world. Chris went back to the heart doctor in august because his heart was still having irregular palpatations. The doctor put him on a loop monitor and we were fortunate enough to catch the beatings 3 times. Since then we have almost been expecting to be discharged again because Chris has made it clear that he will not be having the heart surgery again. Last time they gave us the option of either being discharged or taking the surgery so we can only assume that those are the same options. We went back to the doctor and she told us that the beatings are not SVT related and they are not extremely irregular so there may be nothing to do. She is going to put him on another monitor that he will wear 24/7 just to make sure that he is ok. I am very thankful and blessed that my husband is healthy but i am very ready to be off of this rollercoaster . The doctor said that there will more than likely be nothing to do and he is fine so we have decided as a family to take her word for it and completely move on from it. For the past few months we have been preparing, like we have many times, to be discharged and move back to Lubbock. We have dicided that we are going to be here for the next 4 years and we are very happy about it. No more wondering if we are going to be coming hmoe early or not. God definitely has a plan for our little family and it is becoming more and more clear every day. God has really put on mine and Chris' heart recently, college. We are both signed up to start back in January and we are very excited about it. This way, by the time Chris is done serving his time in the military, we will both be finished with our degrees and able to persue our dreams. Chris staying in the military is a blessing in many ways, it will be much easier for us to finish our degrees, It is a garantee that i will be able to stay home with my sweet baby, and we will get to continue growing as a family a learning more about eachother and how to rely souly on eachother without family. We miss our families but like i said, this has been an amazing time in our lives to be on our own. I am very proud of how much we have grown and learned thus far. God has a plan and i cant wait to continue this journey with my best friend and wonderful baby. Another blessing of Chris staying in the military is that in the next few years when we are ready for our second ( and last) child i will still be able to stay home with them. This time when Camden is so little is so precious to me and i am so unbelievably thankful that i am able to stay home and watch our little angel grow and learn more and more every day. I know this was a long entry but this has all been on my heart and i really wanted to share. Ending this note, we are very excited and thankful for the gifts that God has given us and will continue to explore and learn more about our new home.

my first blog!

Well i saw alot of my friends doing this so i thought i would join in the fun. This will also be a good way for my family who dont have a facebook to keep up with my sweet little family.

here we go.

Chris and i live in Dover Delaware with our little precious angel Camden. He is the light in our lives and we could not be any more happy. He is 4 months old now and is growing so fast. He is definitely a big boy i must say. We do miss Texas but have loved going off on this adventure and growing closer as a family. We have learned so much about eachother and how to live on our own. It has been a wonderful learning expirience figuring out bills and such. I can just say that the life that Chris and I have built together is soo much more than i could have ever imagined. We are so happy and love finding out new things about eachother and our sweet baby boy every day. More to come!
