Excitement!

Wow this has been a very busy month in the Smith household. I'm not complaining though because its really been a great one.
I just completed my semester and get a nice long 5 week break. I made an A and a B in my classes which I'm so proud of. The class that I made a B in what my English class that just about killed me. I have never had a problem with English classes before but this one really did a number on me. We had soooo many long papers due every week and being a full time mom to a very energetic little boy that gets into everything made things a little more difficult. But I can proudly say that I am finished with all of my English classes forever! I wouldn't normally be excited about a B but in this case I'm exstatic! I love online classes. I was so worried that after I had Camden that I would'nt go back and I would be the only one on my family without a bachelors degree. Online classes have been such a blessing because its self-paced and I can do it on my own time instead of having to go to a set class every day and leaving my sweet boy at a day care. That would kill me having to drop him off somewhere. I don't want someone expiriencing all of his firsts before I do.

Camden is getting so big. He is wearing size 18-24 month clothing, size 4 diapers, and size 4 shoes! Hes so fun and I am loving every minute of being a stay at home mommy. We play all day! He is in to everything! Its hilarious to go into the kitchen for 2 seconds to get a soda and come back to see Camden pulling out all of our dvds and blu-rays and putting them all over the living room. Hes a mess, but i love watching him. He is walking but only if he holds on to the sides of the couches or mommy and daddy's hands. Hes the light of my life and a total joy!

Yesterday I had my first mother's day. Last year I barely missed it by a few weeks and I was kind of sad. I know that I was technically a mommy last year because I was pregnant but it didn't feel like the same thing. Yesterday though was so special to me. I woke up and Chris made some very delicious breakfast burritos and coffee and then we went to church. The service was amazing of course and then we came back to our house and had a cook out with the Womacks and the Welters. It was fun and the food was so good! Later that day Chris gave me my mothers day gifts. He gave me some beautiful yellow roses and some perfume from him and Cammy. I loved it and will forever cherish the memories that we make as a family on special days like yesterday.

We are headed to Lubbock on saturday and we are so excited! We will be there for 3 weeks so it will be a nice long vacation. Chris has been working so hard lately and is really looking forward to a little break. He is such an amazing provider for our family and I am so blessed to have him as my husband. I try to thank him often for everything that he does so that I am able to stay home with our babies. Hes just so wonderful. We can't wait to see our family and friends back home.

Camden turns one next month! I can't believe how the time has flown by. It feels like only yesterday and I was waiting and waiting on him to get here. Now hes here and it feels like time is just speeding past me. I wish I could slow it all down, but i know this is how it goes. I try to take as many pictures as possible so that I can remember each and every little bit of his life. It has been fun though getting ready for his party. Its going to be great and I cant wait to see him dig into his little finger cake!

Well that's all for now!
Much love and God bless

A fun little survey.

So I havn't updated in like over 2 weeks! I need to get back on the ball with this blog.
I have 2 more weeks left in this semester and then a nice 2 week break and Im so excited about that. I can't wait to be done with school....I still have another 2 years but it will be totally worth it once I get that bachelors degree and I am a teacher! Being a teacher will be so great for me because I will get to have summers and holidays off with my babies.
Here is a little mommy survey for fun! If you are reading this you are tagged and have to do the survey!
1. Where you married at the time?
- yes I was happily married for about 6 months when I found out that I was pregnant!
2. What were your first reactions?
- well I was at home by myself when I found and I was so shocked but definitely excited!
3. How old were you?
- I was 19 when I found out I was pregnant but 20 when I actually delivered.
4. How did you find out that you were pregnant?
- Well I was late and Chris had just left to drive back to Wichita Falls and I randomly decided to take a test. After I took the test I forgot that I had taken it and went to the mall with my mom. When I got back home I remembered I took it and went to go check it and totally freaked out! In a good way of course ;)
5. Who did you tell first?
- I told my sister first because I was planning on driving to Wichita Falls the next day to tell Chris to his face!
6. Did you want to find out the sex?
-Absolutely! I couldnt wait to find out the sex so that I could start buying stuff and getting his nursery all decorated!
7. Did you deliver early or late?
- Ugh late! I thought that I was going to be pregnant forever.
8. Did you have morning sickness?
- Not at all. I actually loved being pregnant until the last 2 weeks. My lower back really started to hurt there at the end, but no morning sickness!

- A beautiful little boy!
12. How many pounds did you gain throughout your pregnancy?
- 36 pounds! too much.
13. Did you have any complications throughout your pregnancy?
- Only one little problem at the end. Camden was sit on my siatic nerve and my leg would just go dead and I would almost fall. Thats all though. I had a great pregnancy.
14. Where did you give birth?
- I gave birth at Kent General Hospital. I had a huge room and great nurses. A VERY good expirience.
15. How many hours where you in labor?
- 38 hours. A very long time! But it was so worth it :)
16. Who drove you to the hospital?
- My amazing husband. He was so wonderful and calm.
17. Who watched?
- only the doctors unfortunately....I had to be put out so Chris couldn't be in the room. It was sad but once we had Camden nothing else really mattered.
18. Was it natural or a c-section?
-C-section. I tried to have him naturally but his head was too big and I couldnt push him out.
19. Did you take medicine to ease the pain?
- Haha funny story. I really wanted an epidural but there just so happend to be a 10 car pile up wreck that happend right around the time I needed the shot so all of the anesthesiologists were down in the ER saving peoples lives.....my epidural wasn't important that day lol. Once I got the shot I was too far along and it didnt help much. I made it though!
20. How much did your child weigh?
- 8 pounds and 10 ounces. I had a big healthy boy!
21. Did your child have any complications?
- Not at all. He was just too big for me to push out but he was totally healthy.
22. What did you name him/her?
- We named him Camden Taylor. We wanted him to have the same initials as daddy. Taylor was a special family name. It was Chris' Grandmother's maiden name.
23. How old is your first born today?
11 months old! I am loving watching our little boy grow!

Thats all for now!

Camden's First Easter!

I can't believe that Camden is 10 months old now and we have just celebrated his first Easter! Chris and I had so much fun getting everything together. I will forever cherish these memories with him. We love being parents so much its just unbelievable. We started the morning waking up and getting ready for church. We put hair spray in Camden's hair for the first (and last) tim ever! I wanted him to have a nice combed hair do for church but I realized right after I did it that his hair has totally become part of his personality so we are going to let it stand up from now on! Its just so cute. We all three came down stairs and Chris and I just loved the expression on Camden's face when he saw what the Easter bunny had brought him. His easter eggs were full of animal crackers and puffs so that he could eat them. After we let Camden see his goodies we headed to church where we got to hear a great sermon and see Calling Levi! I absolutely love them! They are fabulous. I am so thankful for what Jesus did for me and that he rose again!

So Easter Sunday also happend to be my 21 birthday. We went out to eat at Olive Garden with good friends that night and we had a good time. I am a lucky girl to get to share my birthday with such a significant day!

Thats all for now.
Much love and God bless,
Sarah

P90X

It's finally here. I have really been wanting to do P90X for a really long time. I am so ready for this change. Its going to be extremely challenging but I am just ready to get this baby weight off. I say baby weight but its really a lot more than that. It all started when my parents got divorced my senior year of high school. I started to gain a little weight. While Chris and I were engaged, I broke my back when I fell off of a horse which made me not able to work out at all before our wedding which made me gain more weight. 6 months after we got married, I got pregnant, which made me gain even more weight! Needless to say, I have gained some weight and I am really ready for it to come off.

I was looking back at old pictures to get encouraged to lose the weight again. These pics are from my Jr. year of high school before it all started when I was in the pageant system. I was miss teen Golden Triangle and was in the best shape of my life. I am very determined to get back down to a healthy weight again like this.....I know it will take some time, but I have all the time in the world. Please Pray for me!
Much love and God Bless,
Sarah

Love

Yesterday, March 1, 2010, my sweet Chris and I celebrated our second year of marriage. We joke around like this was our first year of marriage because most of the real first year of our marriage Chris was at BMT and tech school for the Air Force. It was definitely hard being far apart from eachother but I love him so much for doing it for our family. He has been the most amazing husband and I cant wait to spend the rest of my life growing old with him. He is truely my best friend and soul mate. I am so lucky to be married to such a loving, patient man. God definitely knew what he was doing when he put us together as man and wife. I really dont think that anyone else in the world come put up with me. Sometimes I get so stubborn and I am so thankful to have a husband who is so kind and patient with me. I love him so much. This has been the best two years of my life. So many changes, so many adventures. I love my life with him.
Much love and God bless,
Sarah

My 2 Valentines :)

We had the most wonderful day. Chris and I had our Valentines day on Saturday instead of Sunday because Chris had to work. When I woke up Chris told me I couldnt come down stairs for 5 minutes because he needed to do something. When I came downstairs Camden was in his high chair holding/trying to chew on my Valentines card from him. Chris let him scribble all of the envelope and inside of the card. I love it, ill keep it forever. I of course cried and then Chris gave me his sweet card. I loved them both. After that I made breakfast burritos and gave the boys their gifts. I gave chris a big box of chocolate kisses and Camden a box of dum dum suckers. We decided to be lazy for the rest of the day because Chris told me he had something planned for us that evening. After I put Camden to sleep I went and got all dolled up and then went downstairs to find a beautiful table with candles, rose petals, and my favorite ( Olive Garden ). We had so much fun just eating and talking. Chris gave me a beautiful bouquet of red roses with a very sweet note that read : You are the greatest wife and mother in the entire world. Be ours fover. Love Chris and Cammy. I love my sweeties. Roses are very special to me. It is the flower that we used in our wedding. It is the only flower that Chris has ever given me, they are my favorite. Needless to say, we had a beautiful day that I will always remember. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband that spoils me and a baby that loves me unconditionally. What more could I ask for?

Much love and God bless,
Sarah

Busy Busy Busy!

Well this week is my last week of the semsester for school and I can gladly say that I am very pleased with my grades for my classes. I have a two week break before my next classes start which will be nice. I love my schedule for classes and I feel so blessed to be taking online classes and staying home full time with my beautiful child. I love that my classes go nine weeks a semester and then two weeks for break in between. No, I dont get an actual summer off but I will finish a lot quicker this way. My hard work will definitely pay off in the end.
The weather has been so crazy lately. It is supposed to snow 24 inches tomorrow which is completely insane. I do love the snow and watching it fall but I dont like not being able to get out of the house. Atleast I am all stocked up so we really dont have a reason to get out. This is definitely hot soup or cornbread and chili type weather......yum. I think that we may take Cammy out in the snow for the first time tomorrow. We might build a snowman in out backyard! That will be so fun to do as a family.
Camden went to the doctor this past week and he weighs 21 pounds. I am so thankful to have such a happy, healthy little boy. He could not be any more of a joy. His baby dedication is coming up at church. We will be sure to take a lot of pictures. His vocabulary is really starting to develop and he has a lot to say. Its so sweet. He is still crawling backwards but today for the first time he went forward for a little bit, but then went backwards again haha.
I am so excited for certain events that are about to come up!
-Valentines day is next weekend
-Our 2 year anniversary is 2 weeks later on March 1st
-My twenty first birthday is the next month on April 4th
-Camdens first birthday is the next month on May 28th and we are going to have a cute little - birthday party for him.
-We are taking a nice long 3 week trip to texas from May19th to June 5th. I know it will be a great break for Chris.
We are going to have a busy next few months but it will all be fun memories.
Chris has told me that he is in charge of Valentines and our anniversary this year so I am so excited to find out what he has planned. Im sure it will be very romantic!
Well thats all for now
Much love and God bless,
-Sarah Elise
