Holiday Fun!

Ok so it is officially my FAVORITE time of the year. Thanksgiving and Christmas time is the best. I love...

1. The extra time off from work that Chris gets to spend family time together <3

2. Yummy candles

3. Warm clothes, scarves, and boots!

4. Thanksgiving and cooking all day for the ones that I am most thankful for.

5. Christmas shopping!

6. Christmas decorating!

7. Baking

8. Snow!

9. Christmas music

10. Our little family tradition of christmas light seeing.

11. Going to see/get pictures taken with Santa Claus

12. Wrapping presents with pretty paper and ribbons

13. Putting up the Christmas tree as a family :)

14. Caroling

15. Christmas morning breakfast and then opening presents from eachother.

Ahhhh im just so excited. Those are just some of the things that I look forward to about the Christmas season. Next week is Thanksgiving and my dad is coming to spend time with us. This is my FIRST year to do Thanksgiving all by myself. Last year, me and my girldfriends got together and all pitched in but this year Im going solo. I think I have everything under control though. My momma gave me all of the recipes I need. I am very excited to see how it all turns out :).

We are getting Christmas pictures taken next week so that I can go ahead and get our Christmas cards made and sent out. Hopefully they will turn out as cute as they did last year!

I have already begun Christmas shopping. We are actually almost finished with Cam already. We got him so much its ridiculous haha. That little pumpkin is definitely spoiled! But he is so sweet. We have already put up our Christmas tree and I wish I would have taken a picture of Camden's first look at it. It was priceless! He was just in awe! You can tell that he likes it but

My mom and step dad will be joining us for Christmas and I am so excited about that! I cant wait to see my momma.

Pregnancy update!!!!- So, my pregnant belly is growing on schedule. The baby is measuring bigger than he should so they told me to expect another 9 pound baby at least haha. I will just feel blessed if he is as healthy as Cam. I am moving a little slower but Camden keeps me running! We are sooo ready for Cayson to be here. Well, almost. I start the nursery at the beginning of December but once that is finised, we will be completely ready!

Well thats all for now. Got some chicken enchiladas in the oven so I need to run!

Blessings

Sometimes I get so caught up in life that I don't take the time to stop and think about all of the blessings that I have. Chris and I have just been so blessed beyond belief and I need to remember to be thankful more often.

1. I am thankful to have an amazing God who will love me no matter what and will not ever forget me.

2. I am thankful that I have a hard working, providing, patient, loving, passionate, understanding, and just over all amazing man to call my best friend and husband.

3. I am thankful that Camden and Cayson have the best daddy in the world who completely adores them.

4. I am thankful that I have a happy, healthy, full of life little boy whom I completely adore with my whole being. Being a mom has shown me a new kind of unconditional love that I literally cannot explain in words.

5. I am thankful for the fact that I am on the right path to having another happy, healthy little boy. So thankful for a good pregnancy.

6. I am thankful that I get to stay home with my child all day long and experience all of his firsts instead of having to send him to daycare.

7. I am thankful for my beautiful house that we live in.

8. I am thankful and proud of the life that Chris and I have made for ourselves and our children completely on our own.

9. I am thankful that there is such a thing as online college. I am not far from getting my bachelors and becoming a teacher and I could not be any more thrilled about it.

10. I am thankful for my wonderful mother that loves me to pieces.

11. I am thankful that Camden has loving grandparents and aunts and uncles.

12. I am thankful for having such a sweet best friend.

13. I am thankful for my good health

14. I am thankful for all of the nice things that we have.

15. I am thankful that I have such an amazing sister-in-law who is totally awesome in every way. She is making the CUTEST baby bedding for Cayson's nursery and I just feel so blessed for it.

16.I am thankful that we have everything that we NEED and a lot of the things that we just WANT.

17. I am thankful for my extended family. Its not a perfect family, but there is love there

18. I am thankful that I have a good group of friends here in Delaware.

19. I am thankful for our church.

20. and lastly, I am thankful for this life.

Loving Fall :)

Here is a little preview for Cam's Halloween costume this year! It was so hilarious when we put it on him. He was running around everywhere just laughing so hard. That little laugh completely warms my heart and makes my day. Needless to say, he was pretty proud of his little costume hehe cutie pie.

We are heading to fifer orchards this coming Saturday to pick out some pumpkins from the pumkin patch and then possibly go on a hay ride and go through the corn maze. I love fall so much and spending family time with my boys. So many memories that I will forever cherish.

I am on candy duty this year and daddy is going to take Cam trick-or-treating for his first time! We feel that if we are going to have children trick-or-treating and expect other people to hand out candy to our kids that we should do the same. I cant wait to take lots of pictures of my little man :)

The friday night before Halloween, we have a halloween party with our church friends that I am so excited about. Chris and I still arent sure what we are going to go as but Im sure we will think of something.

BOY O BOY!!!!

Mama was right again, we are being blessed with another little boy!!! I will count my self double blessed because Camden is so wonderful and now I get another one! His name is Cayson Trevor Smith and he is now due on march 4, 2010. He has a heartbeat of 150 and is in perfect health! Praise God for that, I know that there are many women out there that are faced with the facts that their babies are not healthy or growing properly, so I am just thankful to God that this baby is in good health. We could not be any more excited!

Although a girl would be fun, I am somewhat relieved that we are having a boy again. I am one of those very controlling people that likes to have everything done and in its place and if they were to have told me today that I was having a girl, i would feel so behind and like I needed to run out and buy 23423490892 different girl things haha.

I am just so happy that we can start calling the baby by his name. Cayson!!!! I'm so happy :) We knew that if we were going to have another boy that he had to have the same initials as his daddy just like Camden does so we had to find a suitable CTS name that we both liked. We couldn't agree on anything! haha. Finally, one day I was looking on the internet at C names and I came across Cayson. I have yet to find a name meaning but I'm sure there is one somewhere. It just says "unknown" everywhere I look. Now the middle name. The first name and the middle name, of course, had to flow off of the tongue right so we tried a million T names and we didn't like any of them. Finally we thought of Trevor which is Chris' best friends name. We both knew that was the name for our second baby if it was another boy! Turns out it is!!! Uncle Trevor was pretty excited when he found out we were naming our son after him :)

I am READY to tackle that nursery!!! I have been waiting and waiting to find out the gender so I could start and now we can. My mom will be here exactly three weeks from today so we will start then.

We feel so blessed to be having another boy and we are just on cloud nine!

8 more days!!

This will probably be my last post until we actually find out what our baby is! I try not to be one to be pursuaded by "old wives tales" when it comes to knowing the gender but this time around its a little bit harder. I have gone back and forth with what my heart thinks it is (not that it matters haha as long as its healthy) but, my guess is going to be boy. However, all signs ( wives tales ) are pointing to girl.
Im carrying very high
the baby's heart rate has always been above 150
I had horrible morning sickness in my first trimester and none with Camden
I will admit, I am a lot more moody :)
I am craving sweets ( I craved salty foods with Camden )
My hair is a lot thicker and fuller this time ( I was shedding with Cam lol )
I know that these are all silly, but Im sure Im not the only anxious mom that wanted to know what my baby is hehe.
8 more days until we go and get our sonogram!!! I am so excited and so anxious.... I am ready to tackle the spare room and turn it into another nursery. I just need to know the gender first so that I can make the final decisions of the decor!

my pregnancy thus far...

Well morning sickness is gone, i have some energy back, and I was feeling great for a few weeks. This past week, I have been hit with HORRIBLE headaches that I cannot get rid of. I try to take medicine and it doesnt help, I try t take a nap but I still wake up with in pain, and I even try sitting in the dark but it will not go away. I went to the Dr. last week and was fine and my blood pressure was low like it noramally is. Everyone has been telling me it could be my blood pressure but I doubt it. Regaurdless, I am going to call my OB tomorrow and see if I can come in. My house has begun to show the side effects of my headache by how messy it is. I feel like a slug because all I want to do is go in my dark room and go to sleep for a little while. Im praying that this wont last long...
On a higher note, my grades are great! A's in all of my classes and I am half way through my semester. I can't wait to have the accomplishment of my degree under my belt. It will just be such a relief to finally hacve it complete.
We find out what the baby is in 2 weeks!!!! I can't believe how much faster this pregnancy is going than my last one. I seriously felt like I was pregnant with Camden for a year! I can't wait to find out what we are having....I have a feeling of what I think it is but I dont want to feel stupid and be wrong lol. I have FINALLY figured out what I am going to do with the new nursery. For the longest time I could only figure out what I wanted to do for a girls room. Now I found a boys room idea that I am really excited about as well. I can't wait to tackle that nursery. That is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant. I am getting so anxious, its all I can think about. I just want to know what I am having!!!!!!
